No NOC needed for renting in Mumbai

Details about the house to be rented should be declared online or by giving an application directly or by registered post to the police station concerned

According to the Mumbai police’s recent guidelines, a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) will not be required for renting apartments in Mumbai.

Details about the house to be rented should be declared online or by giving an application directly or by registered post to the police station concerned. Once the application is received, the owner will get a one-time password (OTP) on his registered mobile number, using which the rental application will be verified.

Under the notification, the address of the landlord and address of the flat that is to be rented should be different. Also, note that all information provided should be correct, in the absence of which, strict police action will be taken.
