The extended route will end at the already existing Noida Sector 142 station. Botanical Garden will serve as an interchange station between NMRC’s Aqua Line and Delhi Metro’s Magenta and Blue Lines. It will cover a total length of 11.56 km and the estimated cost of the project is Rs 2,254.35 crore. The project aims to benefit commuters travelling between Noida-Greater Noida and Delhi.
The DPR, which was prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be placed before the NMRC board in the next meeting, after which it will be processed for approval by the state and central government. The introduction of the new link will not only ensure a smooth connection between Noida Metro corridor and Delhi Metro’s Blue Line but will also bring metro connectivity closer to the Greenfield Noida International Airport in Jewar.
