Palava City homeowners get 66% rebate on property tax

With this rebate, property owners will have to pay over Rs 2,000 per flat per year as property tax.

November 1, 2023:  Integrated Township Palava City, located in Dombivli and developed by the Lodha Group was finally granted a rebate of 66% on property tax on October 30, 2023, under the directive of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

As per the Unified Development Control and Promotion Regulations (DCR), under the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act or gram panchayat, integrated townships falling under these categories will get a rebate of 66% on the property tax as they provide amenities, utilities and infrastructure such as road, street lights, sewerage treatment plant, solid waste management, garden, transport, etc.

This decision will benefit over 26,000 homeowners in the township who until now were paying double tax– to the Palava City Management Association (PCMA) and the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).

Till now the property owners were paying around Rs 6,000 per flat per year as property tax. With this rebate, they must pay a little over Rs 2,000 per flat per year as property tax.
