Indian business tycoon Pankaj Oswal and his wife Radhika Oswal have purchased a luxe property valued at Rs 1,649 crore ($200 million) in Switzerland. The billionaire couple who own the Oswal Group have named the luxurious villa after their daughters Vasundhra and Ridi. Counted among the world’s 10 most expensive houses, Villa Vari is located in the Canton of Vaud in the Swiss village of Gingins, 15 minutes from the lakeside city Geneva.
Designed by world-famous interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes, the villa is sprawled across 40,000 sqm of land overlooking the Mont Blanc mountain range.Wilkes is also known for designing Oberoi Rajvilas, Oberoi Udaivilas and Leela Hotels. Villa Vari was previously owned by the daughter of Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. The Oswal family moved into their house in 2022, after a three year waiting period.
The Oswals have incorporated Vastu principles in their new home. The house has been painted in shades of white and features beautiful chandeliers, high ceilings and delicate filigree work. It also has grand staircases and a lavish dining area. In addition to Villa Vari, the Oswal family also own a private jet (Gulfstream 450), a yacht (Fairline Squadron) and luxury sports cars like Bentley and Lamborghini.
The Oswals, who have a net worth of approximately Rs 247 thousand crore, have business interests in a wide range of industries, including real estate, mining and fertilisers.
