Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the much- awaited 12th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on October 17, 2022. Following the announcement, the subsidy amount of Rs 2,000 was credited in the bank accounts of all the eligible farmers who have successfully applied for the subsidy.
In the 12th installment, the PM released Rs 16,000 crore as the PM Kisan subsidy which would benefit over 10 crore farmers.

The announcement made the official PM Kisan website also states that eligible farmers must complete their e-KYC to receive the 12th installment of the PM Kisan subsidy.
Under the centrally sponsored scheme, eligible farmers in the country receive a government subsidy of Rs 6,000 in a year in three equal installments of Rs 2,000.
The subsidy release will be part of the inauguration ceremony of the two-day summit of agri startup conclave & Kisan Sammelan being organised by the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare on October 17, 2022.
The event brings together more than 13,500 farmers from across the country and around 1500 Agri Startups. More than 1 crore farmers, from various institutions are expected to attend the event virtually. The Sammelan will also witness participation of researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders.
