PM Modi releases 17th instalment of PM Kisan from Varanasi

June 18, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 17th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan). This is the first decision taken by PM Modi after taking oath for the third time on June 9, 2024. The PM released the instalment from Varanasi through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Additionally, the PM Modi distributed  certificates to more than 30,000 self-help groups trained as Krishi Sakhis.

Over Rs 20,000 crore was released and this decision will benefit 9.3 crore farmers. All farmers with completed e-KYC will receive Rs 2,000 in their bank accounts directly. PM Modi said, his government will keep working even more for the farmers and the agriculture sector in the times to come.

The last installment was released on February 28, 2024.

Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government credits a total of Rs 6,000 subsidy in the bank accounts of eligible farmers in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. Since the start of this direct benefits transfer scheme in 2019, the government has so far released 16 instalments.

How to check PM Kisan 17^th instalment?

Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan website: https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ option on the home page.

Step 3: Select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.

Step 4: Now, locate the option to enter your Aadhaar number.

Step 5: Complete the Captcha verification by entering the characters displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Click on ‘Get Data’ option.

Step 7: Your PM Kisan payment status details will be visible on the screen.
