March 4, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Pune Metro’s Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi stretch by flagging off a train on this stretch on March 6, 2024.
The 5.5-km stretch between Ruby Hall and Ramwadi has four stations, namely Bund Garden, Yerawada, Kalyani Nagar and Ramwadi. After the Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi stretch starts operations, the Pune Metro will complete the 15.7-km Vanaz to Ramwadi route.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the extension of Pune Metro Phase-1 between Pimpri Chinchwad Metro and Nigdi.
These sections will help decongest road traffic and provide seamless, easy and comfortable connectivity, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement. The projects are being launched with a focus on enhancing avenues for ensuring ease of urban mobility, it added.
Atul Gadgil, director (works) of the Maha-Metro, said, “We have made all preparations for the inauguration of the Ruby Hall to Ramwadi stretch next week. It will be carried out via video conference by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
