Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) is established to regularise unauthorised areas in Delhi. PM-UDAY was enacted under the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorized Colonies) Act, 2019, to allow registration of properties in these colonies. This was established to help over 40 Lakh people living in unauthorised colonies in Delhi.
PM-UDAY Scheme: Objective
PM-UDAY Scheme addresses the issue of lack of ownership/mortgage/transfer rights to the residents of unauthorised colonies. It also looks at the benefits by development and redevelopment by conferring rights to the residents of unauthorised colonies in Delhi.
PM-UDAY Scheme: Benefits
- Residents can legally sell/buy their properties.
- Residents can avail loans from banks, or financial institutions against their properties.
- Residents can get building plans approved.

Before registration, use the UC locator in the PM-UDAY app to ensure if the property is in an unauthorised colony.

PM-UDAY Scheme: How to register?
On the https://pmuday.ncog.gov.in/login, click on registration.
Enter applicant and property details in the form on the page.
Print registration and GIS survey detail
To print, click on print registration and GIS survey detail. Enter mobile number and captcha code and click on submit to proceed.
Documents required for PM-UDAY Yojana
- Registered sale deed/registered gift deed/latest set of general Power of Attorney, agreement to sell, payment receipt, and possession proof
- Construction proof prior to January 1, 2015 (in case the property falling on government land)
- Electricity bill(s)
- Photograph of property
- Photograph of the applicant
- Signature of applicant(s) on a blank paper
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card

How to file application on PM-UDAY portal?
- On the PM-UDAY portal, click on file application and fill Part-1 details that includes colony details, property details, floor/building details, land details, ownership details and declaration.
- The case ID will be generated after filling details of which will be sent to registered e-mail ID, and mobile number.
- Next, download formats for Indemnity Bond-I, Indemnity Bond-II, and Self Declaration from the portal (links have been provided in Part-2 of the application form) and fill them.
- Buy two stamp papers of Rs 100 each.
- Sign the documents and get notarised by the notary.
- Scan and upload all documents on the PM-UDAY portal.
- Make payment.
- Go to a processing centre for verification of original documents along with witnesses. Here, the final execution of conveyance deed or authorisation slip will be done by AD after verifying the documents.
- Next, visit an authorised bank for issuing e-stamp paper and purchase e-stamp papers.
- Take an appointment with the SRO and get documents registered.

- On the PM-UDAY portal, click on file application and you will reach the following page.
- Select type — self/facilitation agencies.
- Enter applicant mobile number and click on send OTP and enter OTP.
- Enter captcha code and click on login.

On the PM-UDAY portal, click on published applications and you will see the entire list.
