October 11, 2023: The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has issued a notification for developers seeking new project registration. With the festive season beginning with Navratri, Dusshera and Diwali, it is observed that the real estate sector will see a positive movement with the launch of numerous projects.
“During this period, we often receive request for expediting the real estate project registration process. However, it is important to note that MahaRERA follows a well- defined procedure with established timelines for reviewing project registrations. In light of the above, I would line to earnestly request all promoters and stakeholders involved to be proactive in their approach,” said Vasant Prabhu, secretary, MahaRERA in a notification issued by MahaRERA.
One of the reasons for delay in project registration is due to incomplete documentation. According to the statement, developers have to ensure that that project application are submitted well in advance of their intended launch dates. These applications must be comprehensive and complete in every respect, adhering to the established MahaRERA guidelines. This will help in timely processing and registration of real estate projects.
