By Road

Gurgaon is extremely well-connected to Delhi and other major cities by an extensive network of highways and expressways. The Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway connects central Delhi to Gurgaon in under 30 minutes. 

Other major highways like NH48 and KMP Expressway link Gurgaon to the rest of Haryana and states like Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. 

By Train

The Gurgaon Railway Station is the closest railhead, providing direct train connections primarily to Delhi and other parts of Haryana and Rajasthan. 

However, the New Delhi Railway Station is a major junction just 33 km away, serving trains to all metros and major cities across India. Affordable public transport like the Delhi Metro nicely complements the train network, enabling easy onward travel to Gurgaon.

By Metro

The Delhi Metro provides a convenient and efficient public transit option for reaching Gurgaon from Delhi. The yellow metro line connects several central and south Delhi stations directly to Gurgaon’s HUDA City Centre, Sikandarpur, MG Road, IFFCO Chowk, and other stations. Combined with taxis and autos, the Metro facilitates seamless travel between Delhi and Gurgaon.

Several Gurgaon Metro stations also interconnect with the Rapid Metro network, thereby enhancing connectivity within the city.

Pandit Ji ka Dhaba

The dhaba has been serving only vegetarian food since 1951. They focus on Satvik cooking which is prepared without using onions or garlic and has desi ghee. They are particularly famous for their Tuesday special kheer, potato, and masala curry, and dal tadka.

Sardar Ji Jalebi Wale

Location: Jacobpura Rd, Gopal Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Roshan Pura, Gurugram

This is a shop which has been in business for more than 70 years and is famous for making jalebis. Jalebis are prepared without using any food colours due to the fermenting process, which makes them healthy.

Baljee Restaurant

Food recommendations: Chana Bhatura, Gulab Jamuns

This unique shop has been in business since 1970 and is an expert in making bhaturas. They stuff bhaturas with lentil filling. They also have paneer pakodas, Pindi Chane, which are dry chole from Rawalpindi.

Sham Sweets

Location: Sohna Adda, near Shona Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Gurugram

This shop is claimed to be the origin of Dodha Burfi which was founded in the year 1951. The sweet known as Dodha Burfi is made up of dry fruits and other ingredients making it one of the healthy street foods. It was from Dera Gazi Khan and the owner’s father brought it to Gurgaon.
