Virat Kohli buys Rs 6-crore villa in Alibaug

Kohli paid a stamp duty of Rs 36 lakh for the 2,000 sq ft villa

Ace cricketer Virat Kohli purchased a luxury bungalow in Mumbai’s Avas Living, Awas Village, Alibaug for Rs 6 crore. Awas Village is less than 10 minutes from the Mandwa jetty.

According to Zapkey, aggregator of publicly available property registration documents, Kohli paid a stamp duty of Rs 36 lakh for the 2,000-sqft villa. Also included in the deal is a 400 sqft swimming pool. Suzanne Khan has designed the interiors of the villa project.

This is Kohli’s second property purchase in Alibaug. Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma purchased a 36,059-sqft farmhouse in Zirad village in September 2022 for Rs 19.24 crore. He had paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore for that property.

Alibaug is increasingly becoming a preferred weekend destination for celebrities. Other celebrities with properties in Alibag include Shah Rukh KhanRanveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Rohit Sharma and Ram Kapoor.
