Pension types and age criteria covered by YSR Pension Kanuka

The following categories of pension are covered by the YSR Pension Kanuka:

Old age pension 

The applicant must be aged at least 60 years and have a few family members or be self-sufficient.

Widow pension

It will be sanctioned for individuals, who have registered their marriage officially under the Marriage Act, and are above 18.

Weavers pension

The applicant must be 50 and above, and the recipient must have a few close relatives to depend on.

Transgender pension

The applicant must be more than 18 years.

Disabled pension

The plan has no upper age restriction for this group, and applicants must have a minimum of 40% impairment.

Toddy tappers pension

The age requirement for this group is 50 years or older, and members of Toddy Co-operative Society or those enrolled with the Tree for Tapper’s initiative are also eligible.

Fisherman pension

The claimant must be below the poverty level and be 50 years of age or older.

Traditional cobblers pension

This category is open to those who are 40 years or older.

Dappu artists pension

This initiative is open to artists who live below the poverty level and are above 50.

Single women pension 

• This plan is available to married women who have been abandoned by their families or who have been separated from them. The woman’s age must be more than 35 years in this case.
• The separation duration should exceed one year.
• This initiative is available to unmarried women over 30 who live in rural regions.
• Unmarried women under 35 who live in an urban location and get no assistance from their families are also eligible for this plan.

• The recipient of this programme would get a pension of Rs 2,250 in old age.
• The government wishes to improve weavers’ lives via the weaver’s pension. The scheme’s recipient would get a pension of Rs 2,250.

YSR selection process 

• All applications under the YSR Pension Kanuka category will be sent to Gram Panchayat or government authorities.

YSR Pension Kanuka beneficiaries list
