Rajasthan Rera: Standard fee to be levied along with project registration fee
Starting August 1, 2023, the Rajasthan Rera will charge a standard fee along with project registration fee all for plotted development projects that may be both housing and commercial. However, this charge is not applicable for multi-storey group housing projects.
As per the circular issued by Rajasthan Rera, Rs 5 per square metre (psm) will be charged as standard fees for residential plots along with the project registration fees. Rera Rajasthan will charge Rs 10 psm as standard fees for commercial, industrial and mixed use plots in addition to the project registration fees.

RERA Rajasthan: Objective and functions
RERA Rajasthan is responsible for regulating the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.
Currently 1,629 promoters are registered with Rera Rajasthan and 2,542 projects are registered with Rera Rajasthan. There are 6,350 agents registered with the regulatory authority and 1,781 complaints are disbursed.

Documents required from promoters
- Application form.
- PAN card copy.
- Encumbrance details.
- Number of parking areas.
- Audited balance sheet of the promoter for the preceding financial year.
- Legal title deed copy, reflecting the title of the promoter to the land.
- If the promoter is not the land owner, then, a copy of the collaboration, development, joint development, or any other agreement.
Documents required from real estate agents
- Details of the company, such as name, registered address, type of enterprise, etc.
- Photograph of the property agent, in case of an individual and the photograph of partners, directors, etc., if it is not an individual.
- PAN card copy.
- Address proof copy of the place of business.

Step 1: Visit the RERA Rajasthan online portal.
Step 2: Click ‘Grievance’ and select ‘Filing of Complaint’ from the top menu bar.

Step 3: You will be redirected to Rajasthan’s single sign in portal. Select ‘Registration’ and choose ‘Udhyog’ or ‘Citizen’ or ‘Govt. Employee’
Step 4: Fill in the details as required.
Step 5: Pay the fee of Rs 1,000 for filing the complaint, through online mode of payment.

RERA Rajasthan: Penalty for non registration
If a real estate promoter fails to register their project as per the RERA Rajasthan Act, they may face penalties. The penalty can amount to up to 10% of the approximate cost of the proposed project. If the violation persists, the promoter may be punishable with a jail term of up to three years or a fine that can extend up to a further 10% of the estimated cost of the project, or both. It is, therefore, crucial for real estate promoters to ensure that they register their projects with RERA Rajasthan to avoid any legal consequences.
