CBI net banking: Login, registration, features and services

We explain the procedure to register for Central Bank of India internet banking and how to pay your credit card bills and access other features.

The Central Bank of India (CBI), established in 1911, is the first Indian Commercial Bank, and the bank was the first to be owned and managed only by Indians. The Central bank of India offers credit cardholders several benefits associated with credit cards. With the help of the net banking facility, you can view your credit card statements, make payments, view reward points and so on. You only need to register your credit card with the Central Bank net banking facility. 

 

How to register for CBI net banking?

  1. The first step is to go to the official website, and log in to your net banking account by typing your User ID and password. 
  2. Once logging in successfully, select the ‘Accounts’ tab. 
  3. Now, click on ‘My Credit/ Debit Card’. 
  4. Select the ‘click here to link your credit card to your internet banking account’. 
  5. Now enter your bank and card details – Account Number, your registered email address, credit card number, CVV number and the card’s expiry date. 
  6. Carefully read the Terms and Conditions and then tick the box. 
  7. Press the ‘Submit’ button. 
  8. You will receive the OTP number to your registered mobile number to complete the process. 
  9. After completing the above steps, you will receive a confirmation message from the Central Bank of India. 

If you find the process tedious, call the Central Bank of India’s Customer Care at 1800 222 368. They will help you to link the card offline. You can also go to the nearest branch, fill out the form, and link your card.  

 

CBI net banking login process

You must register with the Central Bank of India before logging in to the Central Bank of India Credit Card account. The registration can be done through the CBI Internet Banking facility. 

  1. Visit the official site of the Central Bank of India http://www.centralbankofindia.co.in/   
  2. You will see the’ Login’ button on the top right corner of the landing page. Click on the button. 
  3. Now enter your user ID and password. 
  4. Select the Login option to proceed further. 
  5. You will be logged in to your Central Bank of India account. 

 

Central Bank of India net banking: How to create login password online?

To reset your CBI net banking password online, follow these steps:

  • Visit the CBI net banking login page and select the ‘Online Password’ option.
  • Enter your 10-digit CIF number and the phone number registered with your account. Remember to include ’91’ before the 10-digit phone number.
  • Click on the ‘Generate’ option and proceed to the next step.
  • You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on your registered phone number. Please note that the OTP will expire within 3 minutes.
  • Use the received OTP to log in to your account and ensure that you change your password before it expires.

 

Central Bank of India net banking: How to change password?

  1. Visit the official website of the Central Bank of India – http://www.centralbankofindia.co.in/  
  2. Select the ‘Login’ option on the top right corner of the landing page. 
  3. On the left-hand corner of the page, you will see the ‘Forgot your Password option. Click on it. 
  4. You must type your bank account details, registered mobile number, credit card number, CVV and card’s expiry date. 
  5. Enter the details and click on ‘Proceed’. 
  6. Think of a new password and type it twice to set it as your new password. 
  7. You will receive the OTP number to your registered mobile number to complete the process.
  8. Click the ‘Submit’ button. 
  9. A success message will appear on the screen. Password SET!

CBI net banking: How to pay credit card bills?

  1. Log in to your Central Bank of India internet banking account using your user ID and password. 
  2. Now, select the credit card for which you need to make the payment. 
  3. After the second step, choose the account to make the payment. 
  4. Type the amount to be paid. 
  5. Click on the ‘Submit’ button. 
  6. You will be sent a notification after the completion of the transaction.

Pay credit card bill online using net banking

  1. Log in to your Central Bank of India net banking account using the card number, email address, mobile number and payment amount. 
  2. Select the ‘My Cards’ option from the drop-down menu. 
  3. Choose ‘Debit Card’ and click on ‘Pay’. 
  4. Now a secured redirection to the payment gateway page will take place.  
  5. After which, you need to enter the authentication details. 
  6. Now confirm the amount to be paid. 
  7. The amount will be debited to your account. 
  8. You will also receive a reference transaction number after the process. 
  9. You can also pay your credit card bill at the counter by walking to the nearest branches. 

 

Pay credit card bills using the auto-debit

  1. Log in to your credit card portal and register for the auto-debit feature. 
  2. Now choose the frequency at which you would like to make the payment automatically – weekly, monthly, etc. 

 

CBI net banking: How to create transaction password (T-PIN) online?

To generate a new transaction password for CBI net banking, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your CBI net banking account using your user ID and password.
  • Navigate to the options menu on the CBI net banking site and select the ‘Transaction Password Generation’ option.
  • Enter the mobile number that is registered with your account.
  • A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered phone number. Please note that the OTP will expire within 3 minutes.
  • Within the given time frame, use the OTP to set a new transaction password (T-PIN).

 

Central Bank of India net banking: How to reset credit card PIN?

  1. Log in to your Central Bank of India account using your user ID and password. 
  2. Now click on the ‘Credit Card’ option from the drop-down menu. Select the ‘Change my Pin’ option from the menu. 
  3. You will receive the OTP number to your registered mobile number to complete the process.
  4. Enter the OTP in the box. 
  5. Now enter the four-digit credit pin twice to set your new PIN. 
  6. The Central Bank of India will notify you of the change of your PIN. 

 

CBI net banking: How to check credit card statement?

  1. The credit card statements are sent directly to your registered email id every month (default). 
  2. To manually check the statement, log in to the Central Bank of India net banking account using your User ID and password. 
  3. Now click on the ‘Account Summary’. 
  4. You will see the statement summary of the credit card you have selected. 
  5. You also have the option to view your Credit Card statement using the mobile banking SMS facility. 
  6. You can also drop by the nearest branch to check your credit card statement summary.

Bank account holders can view their online statements through the CBI net banking portal.

  • Log into the bank account on the CBI net banking portal
  • Go to Accounts and move the cursor to the relevant account from the drop down
  • Click on Documents. Now, search by date, and click on submit and the available documents to view the details.

 

How to add a beneficiary in CBI net banking?

To add a beneficiary for fund transfers in CBI net banking, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your CBI net banking account.
  • Navigate to the ‘Fund Transfer’ option and click on ‘Add Beneficiary’.
  • Choose between ‘CBI’ or ‘other bank’ as the beneficiary type.
  • Depending on the selection, enter either the bank and branch name or the IFSC code.
  • Provide all the necessary details along with a unique nickname for the beneficiary. Avoid using special characters or numeric digits in the details.
  • Once all the fields are filled, click on ‘submit’.
  • After confirming the addition of the beneficiary, enter three grid values for grid authentication.
  • If the grid authentication is successful, the beneficiary will be added to your account.

 

How to open a CBI savings account online?

To open an online savings account, follow these steps:

  • Access the bank’s ‘online savings account opening portal’ through their website.
  • Fill out the provided form with accurate information.
  • Once you have completed the form, submit it to the bank.
  • The bank will process your request to open a new savings account.
  • You can track the status of your savings account opening application through the portal.
  • If you were unable to fill out the form completely the first time, the portal allows you to resume filling it from where you left off.
