January 22, 2024: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) launched the e-auction process for Phase 2 of its Diwali Special Housing Scheme on January 18, 2024. Under the housing scheme, the authority offers luxury flats, including seven penthouses in Dwarka sector 19B. A total of 707 apartments will be e-auctioned under the scheme. The e-auction will begin on February 5, 2024, and the last date of registration is January 29, 2024, according to media reports.
The DDA conducted the first phase of the e-auction for 296 apartments on January 5, 2024, where 274 apartments were booked.
In phase 2 of the e-auction, the reserve price for a penthouse is Rs 5 crore, while for super HIG (high-income group) flat, it is Rs 2.5 crore and for HIG, it is Rs 2.19 crore. A total of 192 2BHK MIG (mid-income group) flats will also be a part of the e-auction.
The registration and submission of the earnest money deposit (EMD) will begin at 11 AM; the last date of the online registration and submission of online EMD is January 29, 2024, a DDA official said as cited in media report.
The flats offered in e-auction include seven penthouses, 32 super HIG apartments and 476 HIG flats in Dwarka Sector 19B and 192 MIG flats in Dwarka Sector 14.
Registration process
According to the DDA, participants have to first register on the e-auction portal, https://dda.etender.sbi/SBI/, and pay Rs 2,500, which is non-adjustable and non-refundable, separately against each flat they wish to bid.
Registration applicants must deposit a certain booking amount or EMD. The booking amount is Rs 15 lakh for HIG, Rs 20 lakh for super HIG flats, and Rs 25 lakh for penthouses, while it is Rs 10 lakh for MIG flats.
The applicants must pay EMD separately to participate in the bidding. They have to make online payments against each flat they wish to bid for.
