The West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO), also known as HIDCO, is a government-owned enterprise that is responsible for planning and developing infrastructure in the New Town-Rajarhat area in Kolkata. The agency works towards building a futuristic smart city and undertakes numerous projects to accomplish this objective.

HIDCO also comes up with various schemes, offering plots and affordable houses for different income groups and the economically weaker sections. HIDCO flat and plot lottery 2023

The West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation has come up with HIDCO lottery 2023, offering 80 housing units and plots for the economically weaker sections (EWS) category at affordable prices. These flats are located in Tarulia Complex Within Action Area IA New Town Kolkata and will be equipped with all essential facilities such as electricity, water, transportation and road facilities.

One is eligible to get a flat on a lease of 99 years.

HIDCO lottery: How to apply for a housing scheme?

The entire HIDCO lottery application process is online. Applicants can follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of WBHIDCO at https://www.wbhidcoltd.com/ and look for the ‘HIDCO lottery’ scheme link on the main page.

Step 2: First-time users should register themselves by providing their email ID, mobile number, full name, etc.. Then, click on login.

Step 3: Click on the application form option. You will be redirected to a new page.

Step 4: Complete the form by providing relevant details.

Step 5: Submit the application form.

Applicants are also required to submit the application money online as mentioned in the guidelines on the website. They will receive an acknowledgement slip and payment receipt.

HIDCO lottery: Eligibility

Applicants must fulfil the following eligibility criteria to participate in the HIDCO lottery scheme:

• Should be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Should be 18 years of age or above.
• The income of an applicant under the economically weaker section must be Rs 25,000 per month.
• Those applying for the HIDCO lottery scheme should not have any property in their name or any family member’s name.
• The applicant must provide government document proof to apply for flats under HIDCO.

HIDCO lottery: Documents required

When submitting the online application form for the HIDCO lottery scheme, the applicants must provide relevant documents that include:

• Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card.
• Residence proof, e.g., self-attested copy of PAN card, BPL card or ration card.
• Passport-size photographs.
• Monthly family income certificate.
• Bank passbook.
• Recent salary slips for income proof.
• Copy of the latest income tax return.
• Registered mobile number

In addition, one must pay a registration fee of Rs 33,000 at the time of registration.

How to check HIDCO lottery results?

To check the HIDCO lottery draw results, visit the official WBHIDCO portal. Click on the HIDCO lottery draw results link on the home page. A new page will open on the screen. Submit the application-cum-registration number and other relevant details. The draw results containing the name of the winners will be displayed.

HIDCO plot lottery

HIDCO has started inviting applications from the citizens to allot 54 co-operative residential plots in HIG and MIG co-operative housings across New Town, through lottery. The plots are four to six cottahs each in area. State employees are eligible to avail of these units.

The plots are classified as:

• Type 1, for state employees.
• Type 2, for individuals who do not belong to the Type 1 category.

Corner plots will be charged at additional 10% above the applicable lease premium.

These plots are located in New Town. Citizens can send online applications starting March 1, 2023 and the last date of sending applications is April 30, 2023.
