National Highway-152D: Route overview

NH 152D is 227 km long and is a 6-lane wide access-controlled expressway. NH 152D connects Gangheri village in Kurukshetra district with Surana village on Narnaul Bypass in Mahendargarh district. The highway covers Kaul, Pundri, Assandh, Dhatrath, Kalanaur, Charkhi Dadri, and Kanina. The highway has reduced the distance from Chandigarh to Delhi, Narnaul, and Jaipur. It has also helped in decongesting NH-44 and NH-48.

The cost undertaken to develop NH-152D is estimated to be about Rs 5,108 crore. The highway has been functional since 1 August 2022. The highway has 70 metres of right of way, 122 bridges, and underpasses. The maintenance authorities also planted 1,36,000 trees on either side of the highway. It has come under the Bharatmula project. The construction of this highway created employment opportunities for 1,500 people for 3 years. 120 persons will be employed at the Toll Plaza of the highway.

These districts are Kurukshetra District, Kaithal District, Kamal District, Jind District, Rohtak District, Bhiwani District, Charkhi Dadri District, and Mahendragarh District. NH 152D has also reduced traffic on NH 44 and NH 48 and reduced the distance from Chandigarh to many other states including Delhi and Jaipur.

It has contributed to providing connectivity and fuelled efficient transportation. NH 152D has successfully reduced the travel time between Ismailabad and Narnaul by 35 km. Haryana witnessed improvement in circle rates after the development of this highway. It has helped boost the infrastructure within Haryana and gave the builder opportunities to create new properties for investors.
