An income certificate is a certificate issued by the government of any state in India to an individual, testifying and validating their yearly income from one or multiple sources. It is issued in the interest of the individual for any legal/official purpose. The income certificate establishes the economic status of the citizen, who can then apply for various government welfare schemes, health programs, educational scholarships, and so on.
