While it’s very common to hang curtains on doors and windows, there is a technique to hang curtains, right from the ceiling to the floor. This gives a very refreshing and chic look to any room, be small or large. Check out this guide to learn the steps on how to hang curtains from the ceiling.

Measure the ceiling
The first step is to measure the height of the ceiling of a room where you will hang curtains. You should calculate the length and decided whether you want to hang half-length curtain, or full-length curtain till the floor. You should buy the curtain as per the length.
Mark the ceiling for curtain rod brackets
Once you are done with measurement, make proper markings on the ceiling that sync symmetrically to hold the curtain rod. If the room is big, it’s recommended to use brackets in between the rods that will secure the curtain rod and prevent it from sagging with weight of curtains. When you clamp the curtain bracket on the ceiling ensure that there is enough space between the rod and ceiling so that the movement of curtains is not restricted.
Fix the bracket
Drill holes in the ceiling. Place the bracket on it and fix the bracket with screws. Once the brackets are done, fix the rod and check if all the brackets are perfectly fit and tight.
Instead of drilling holes, you can also use adhesive curtain hooks that can be directly fixed to the ceiling. First check the weight which the adhesive curtain hooks can support before buying them.
Note, before fixing the adhesive hooks on the ceiling, clean them. It’s good to clean the ceiling by rubbing alcohol. Once dry you can proceed with sticking the curtain hooks to the marked spots.
The third option is to fix the ceiling mounted tracks, using screws that will give a sleek look to the room.
Hang curtains
Remove the rod and slide curtains through it. Fasten the bracket screws so that curtains are secured in the rod.
