The Income Tax (I-T) department on March 28, 2023, extended the deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar to June 30, 2023, from the previous deadline of March 31, 2023. The linking will be possible only after paying a late fee of Rs 1,000, said the department. Earlier, 31 March 2023 was the deadline to link your PAN with Aadhaar.
Failure to do so will result in your PAN becoming inoperative. In case you have already completed this process, you can check the status of your PAN–Aadhaar linking online by following these simple steps.Â

Steps to check if PAN is linked with Aadhaar
Step 1: Copy and paste the following address in your web browser.
https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/

Step 2: On the homepage, click on Link Aadhaar Status.

Step 3: Provide your PAN and Aadhaar numbers and click on View Link Aadhaar Status.

Step 4: The following message will pop up on your screen if your PAN has been linked with Aadhaar successfully.
