Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 16th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) at a public event in Yavatmal, Maharashtra on February 28, 2025. The PM released an amount of more than Rs 21,000 crore through direct benefits transfer to beneficiaries.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is one of the world’s largest direct benefits transfer schemes. A flagship scheme of the government, it exemplifies the continued commitment of the Centre to initiate policy actions for an inclusive and productive agricultural sector.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana (PM Kisan), the Central government provides annual monetary assistance of Rs 6,000 in three equal instalments to land-owning farmers during the year. PM Kisan beneficiaries can check their names in the list by following this step-wise guide.
How to check PM Kisan beneficiary status in 2024?
Step 1: Directly click on the following link to check the PM Kisan beneficiary list: https://pmkisan.gov.in/Rpt_BeneficiaryStatus_pub.aspx
Step 2: On the page that opens, from drop-down menus, you will be asked to:
1. Select state
2. Select district
3. Select sub-district
4. Select block
5. Select village
Step 3: Once you have selected everything, click on the ‘Get Report’ option.

How to apply online for PM Kisan Yojana 2024?
Step 1: To register for the PM Kisan, visit the official website, . Select the ‘New Farmer Registration’ option under ‘Farmers Corner’.
Step 2: Input all the details in the PM Kisan registration form and click on ‘Send OTP’. Enter the OTP for verification and you will be registered on the PM Kisan portal.
PM Kisan KYC 2024
Farmers applying for the PM Kisan Scheme will be able to receive the 16th instalment in their account only if they have completed their KYC. eKYC is mandatory for PM Kisan registered farmers. While OTP-based eKYC is available on the PM Kisan portal, biometric-based eKYC can be done at the nearest CSC centres.

PM Kisan eKYC online 2024
Step 1: On the official PM Kisan website, click on the ‘e-KYC’ option under the ‘Farmers Corner’, towards the right side of the page.
Or, you can directly copy and paste the following link in your browser: https://exlink.pmkisan.gov.in/aadharekyc.aspx
Step 2: On the next page, provide your Aadhaar number. Click on the ‘Search’ option.
Step 3: You will now receive a 4-digit OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter this on the next page and click on ‘Submit OTP’ option. With this, your PM Kisan eKYC will be complete.
Note: In case the information provided by you is not valid, the e KYC will not be complete. Those who have already completed their PM Kisan eKYC will get a message that eKYC is already done.
PM Kisan eKYC offline
Step 1: Visit the nearest Common Service Center. To find the nearest CSC, click here. Carry your Aadhaar card and registered mobile number.
Step 2: Provide your Aadhaar and other details to the CSC operator.
Step 3: Also provide your biometrics at the centre, including the thumb impression.
Step 4: Using his login, the CSC operator will enter the details into the computer for biometric authentication. After this, your eKYC will be updated and you will receive a message on your mobile.
4 must-do thing to get PM Kisan 16th instalment
Farmers who meet the following conditions will be offered the 16th installment:
- Land record proof, showing his name as the owner f the land
- KYC
- Bank account should be linked with Aadhaar
- Bank account should be linked with NPCI
In case a farmer does not meet all these conditions, his name will not be included in the PM Kisan 16th installment list.

Govt launches AI Chatbot for PM Kisan scheme
September 22, 2023: The agriculture ministry on September 21 launched an AI (artificial intelligence) Chatbot for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme in New Delhi. In its first phase of development, the AI chatbot will assist farmers in seeking information related to their application status, payment details, ineligibility status and other scheme-related updates. Currently, the chatbot is available in five languages ─ English, Hindi, Bangla, Odia and Tamil. It will soon be available in all 22 languages spoken in India, the government said.
