HSVP to develop 17 new sectors across 9 districts

February 23, 2024: The Haryana Shehri Vikas Parishad (HSVP) will be developing over 17 new sectors across nine districts mention chief minister and HSVP chairman Manohar Lal Khattar, as per a ToI report.

Faridabad

Fatehbad

Hissar

Jagadhri

Kurukshetra

Panipat

Rohatak

Rewari

Sonipat

While five sectors will be developed in Faridabad, three each will be developed in Rewari and Rohatak and one each will developed in the remaining districts, mention the report. 

Scarcity of land is one of the reasons cited for a slow pace and lesser number of sector development. The municipal body will also exploring options of changing its pattern of land acquisition. 

As per the ToI report, while land acquisitions are done following the development of master plan, the HSVP will be opting for land pooling scheme, where volunteers will give their land for developing residential and commercial sectors. This will save the authority of any litigation.
