K Raheja Corp introduces ‘The Pride Side’, an anti-discrimination policy at the workplace

K Raheja Corp has said that it has introduced an inclusive diversity policy at its workplace that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender

K Raheja Corp has introduced an anti-discrimination policy, ‘The Pride Side’, aimed at creating a non-discriminative and transparent environment at its workplace.  The policy covers elements like zero discrimination in hiring process, financial support in gender affirmation procedure, adoption assistance benefits, workshops to sensitise employees and provision for professional counselling, where required. This policy will be applicable to all employees at K Raheja Corp and its group companies, including the real estate business, properties managed by its hospitality business Chalet Hotels Ltd and the mall business Inorbit Malls.

Speaking about the initiative, Urvi Aradhya, group CHRO, K Raheja Corp, said, “We believe it is pertinent to recognise diverse perspectives, in order to build a culturally and socially inclusive work environment, for the organisation to succeed. Such efforts enhance the overall business ecosystem and contribute positively to the overall economy, by creating rewarding careers, along with generating more job opportunities. The real estate industry is one of the largest contributors to the GDP in India and creating an environment that is conducive to inclusion, will help boost the sector overall.”

 


K Raheja Corp’s Mindspace business parks receive certificate for best sustainable practices

K Raheja Corp’s Mindspace commercial business parks have received the British Safety Council’s five-star rating certificate, for best sustainable practices

August 9, 2019: K Raheja Corp’s Mindspace commercial business parks, have received the British Safety Council’s five-star rating. The five-star rating is a benchmark of high standards of occupational health and safety performance. It is also regarded as over and above the ISO 45001 and the current OHSMS standard requirements. The business parks in the locations of Mindspace at Hyderabad, Mindspace at Airoli in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Commerzone at Pune, received the certification.

On a scale of 100, each of the three business parks secured 92% marks in the audit. The five-star audit process involves an in-depth examination of an organisation’s entire health and safety management system(s) and associated arrangements. This recognition qualifies K Raheja Corp to participate at the prestigious ‘The Sword of Honour 2019 Awards’.
