Maha CM inaugurates two elevated corridors in Mumbai

Three flyovers and one subway was constructed by MMRDA at the Ghatkopar junction to decongest the area.

Two elevated corridors in Mumbai- Mankhurd to Chhedanagar junction towards Thane on Eastern Express Highway and Kapadia Nagar to Vakola Junction as part of the Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR) extension project was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on April 12, 2023.

Constructed by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the Mankhurd to Chhedanagar junction is 1.23 km, costed Rs 86 crore and aids in traveling towards Thane from Navi Mumbai without any traffic signal in between.

As the Ghatkopar junction in the eastern expressway sees traffic from all directions, three flyovers and one subway was constructed by MMRDA to decongest the area. Flyover connecting the SCLR is already open for public.

The 3.03 km elevated SCLR extension Phase-I corridor will decongest traffic in Kurla and BKC.
