Maha CM to inaugurate Mumbai Coastal Road Phase-1 on March 11

It will be opened for the public from March 12.

March 10, 2024: Phase-1 of the Mumbai Coastal Road will be inaugurated by Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde in the presence of deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar on March 11.  It will be opened for the public from 8 AM on March 12. Once open the Mumbai Coastal Road will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM Monday to Friday initially. 

Phase-1 of the project starts from the Princess Street flyover and ends at the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It is around 10.58 km and will not attract any toll. With this time to travel between Worli and Marine Drive which is usually 40-45 minutes will reduce to around 10 minutes.

Phase-2 of the Mumbai Coastal Road is from the other side of the Bandra Worli Sea Link to Kandivali and is around 20 km.

Previously, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was expected to be inaugurate the Mumbai Coastal Road Phase-1.
