August 14, 2023: Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai lucky draw will be held on August 14, 2023 at 2 PM. The lottery will be attended by Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde, deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and housing minister Atul Save. The Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai lucky draw will be held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Center auditorium at Nariman Point, Mumbai. Previously, it was to be held at Rang Sharada, Bandra. The lucky draw will be telecast online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsZDZUL3YyA. The published lottery results will uploaded on Mhada website at 6 PM. The refund starts August 17, 2023 at 5 PM.

Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai board’s last date to submit application and pay the earnest money deposit ended July 11,2023. The form had to be submited by 6 PM and online transfer of money to be done by 11:59 PM. RTGS can be done by July 13, 2023 by 11:59 PM. This is because July 9, 2023 was a Sunday and the Mhada lottery system was not available on that day. Previously, the last extension date was July 10, 2023.
Applicants had to previously submit their application forms by June 26, 2023. Mhada Mumbai board will publish the draft list on July 17, 2023 and the final list will be published on July 24, 2023. July 19, 2023 is the last date for filing online claim-movements from publication of proforma list. The Mhada Mumbai board has not yet decided on the lucky draw date and this will be announced shortly.
According to FPJ, as per the data available from Mhada, 1,45,849 applications have been received for Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai. Around 1,19,278 applications have paid the mandatory EMD amount. Remember that only applicants who have paid the EMD are qualified for Mhada lottery participation.
Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai removes one unit; to offer 4,082 units now
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) Mumbai board will be giving away 4,082 units in Mumbai under the Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai.
Under the Mhada lottery 2023, the Mhada Mumbai board has issued a corrigendum and removed a MIG unit in Dadar owing to legal disputes around it. The said housing unit is located in Savitri Niwas/Laxmi Niwas building and is valued at Rs 2.5 crore. A case has been filed with the court by a candidate stating that he was allotted this flat in the last Mhada lottery and hence he is the owner. As the matter is with the court, the unit has been removed from the Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai list. With the removal of this unit, the total number of housing units part of Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai is now 4,082.
Application of Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai started May 22, 2023 at 3 PM. Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai advertisement was released on May 22, 2023.
Note that under Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai, for the first time housing units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are sold. Over 1,947 housing units in Pahari Goregaon are reserved for the EWS and LIG category.
Note that applicants registering under PMAY (Urban) scheme do not need to have the PMAY registration certificate at the time of applying. They need to have the certificate only before taking possession of the flat.

As per a Moneycontrol.com report, within one week of the launch of the Mhada lottery Mumbai 2023, Mhada has received around 16,476 applications. of this total, around 7,665 applicants have paid the earnest money deposit (EMD) for the various Mhada schemes under Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai.
According to a Navbharattimes report, around 115 people completed the application process with 10 minutes of the opening of the registration process on May 22, 2023. Also, six people had paid the earnest money deposit within seconds of the link opening.

The registration and online application starts on May 22, 2023. The last date to pay the earnest money deposit (EMD) is June 26, 2023. The Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai lucky draw will be held on July 18, 2023 at Rangsharda Hall, Bandra.
The housing Mhada units under the Mhada lottery Mumbai 2023 are available with carpet areas varying between 204 sqft to 1,531 sqft.
The 204 sqft unit is priced at Rs 24.71 lakh available at Chandivali and the 1,531 sqft unit is priced at Rs 7.57 crore and is located at Cresent Tower, Tardeo, South Mumbai. This is the most expensive housing unit under Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai. The unit comes with amenities including swimming pool, club, gym, parks, car parking etc.

Of the 4,083 units, 2,788 tenements will be allotted to the economically weaker section (EWS), 1,022 for low income group (LIG), 132 for mid income group (MIG) and 39 for high income group (HIG). Around 102 units are scattered across groups.
Mhada to cancel 11% reservation in EWS, LIG category
Around 11% reservation for MPs, MLAs, state government employees, central government employees and Mhada employees exists in the EWS, LIG category of Mhada lottery. Mhada housing board has decided to cancel the same and the proposal for this is with the state government. In place of these, Mhada will divide the 11% reservation among oppressed women, transgender, senior citizens and unorganised workers.
Note that Mhada has also units reserved for MPs and MLAs in the EWS and LIG category although their income brackets are more than the specifications mentioned by Mhada. According to a HT report, 75 flats are reserved under EWS and LIG category and three each in MIG and HIG category, under the old rules formed by Mhada. A recommendation to remove this rule has been sent by Mhada to the government and can be implemented only when the state government approves it.
Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai: Units under eligible categories and locations
Economic Weaker Section (EWS): Of the 2,788 units allotted, 1,947 units will be available under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Pahadi Goregaon. The cost of a unit at PMAY Pahadi Goregaon is Rs 3,344,000 after the deduction of Rs 2.5 lakh PMAY subsidy. Antop Hill will offer 417 units, and 424 units are available at Kannamwar Nagar, Vikhroli.
Low Income Group (LIG): Of the 1,022 units, 736 will be available at Goregaon, and the remaining 286 will be available at Dadar, Saket Society (Goregaon), Gaikwad Nagar (Malad), Patriarchal, Old Magathane (Borivali), Charkop, Kannamwar Nagar, Vikrant Society (Vikhroli) and Gavanpad.
Middle Income Group (MIG): The MHADA lottery Mumbai 2023 MIG scheme includes 132 units that will be distributed across Dadar, Tilak Nagar (Chembur), Sahkar Nagar (Chembur) and Kandivali.
High Income Group (HIG): The HIG segment will offer 39 houses distributed across Tardeo, Lower Parel, Sion, Shimpoli and Tunga Powai.
