Modi releases PM Kisan 16th instalment

February 28, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 16th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) at a public event in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. Modi released an amount of more than Rs 21,000 crore through direct benefits transfer to PM Kisan beneficiaries.

The PM stated that 11 crore farmers of the country have received Rs 3 lakh crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Out of which, farmers of Maharashtra have received Rs 30,000 crore and Yavatmal farmers got Rs 900 crore in their accounts.

After Modi made the transfer, eligible farmers who have completed their e-KYC received the Rs 2,000 instalment directly in their bank accounts.

Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government credits a total of Rs 6,000 subsidy in the bank accounts of eligible farmers in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. Since the start of this direct benefits transfer scheme in 2019, the government has so far released 16 instalments.

How to check PM Kisan 16^th instalment?

Step 1: Visit the official PM Kisan website: https://pmkisan.gov.in.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ option on the home page.

Step 3: Select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.

Step 4: Now, locate the option to enter your Aadhaar number.

Step 5: Complete the Captcha verification by entering the characters displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Click on ‘Get Data’ option.

Step 7: Your PM Kisan payment status details will be visible on the screen.

PM Kisan instalment release dates

Meanwhile, Modi also disbursed the 2nd and 3rd instalments of the Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi worth about Rs 3,800 crore, benefiting about 88 lakh beneficiary farmers across Maharashtra. The scheme provides an additional amount of Rs 6,000 per year to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra.
