Mumbai Coastal Road Phase-1 to open January end 2024: Maha CM

The first phase is around 10.58 km.

December 12, 2023: The Phase-1 of the Mumbai Coastal Road will be operational by the end of January 2024, mentioned Maharashtra chief minister, Eknath Shinde at an event.

The first phase is around 10.58 km and has been constructed between Marine Drive and Worli in South Mumbai.

The Mumbai coastal road connects South Mumbai to the western suburbs – Marine Drive to Kandivali through the existing Bandra Worli Sea Link.  With this in place, the traffic woes in this area will be addressed.

Other key project that will become operational soon is the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link Road that will enable travel of around 22 km in 15 minutes as opposed to the two hours presently.
