How to register for MUDA e-auction in Mysore?

To participate in an e-auction, individuals must visit the MUDA official website and register as a bidder.

Mysore Urban Planning & Development Authority (MUDA) is a state-level development authority, established in 1988, which is responsible for the planned development of Mysore and provides quality infrastructure for the citizens. The MUDA has been rebranded as the Mysuru Development Authority (MDA). The authority had halted the auctions for sites for over a year, and it has recently resumed the bidding process for corner and intermediate plots. The recent auction commenced on August 11, 2023 and was concluded by the end of the month.

Some of the sites auctioned by Muda are priced at Rs 3 to Rs 4.5 crore. On average, Muda sets the base price at a minimum of Rs 80 lakh for sites in premium areas while uneven and small sites are priced at Rs 30 lakh as the base price. These auctions help generate significant revenue for the authority. Interested participants can visit the official portal at https://www.mudamysore.gov.in/ for site allotment details under eAuction section.

 

MUDA sites for auction 2025

The MDA has initiated the process of auctioning 200 corner, intermediate and premium sites online for Rs 250 crore, from July 31, 2025, 6 pm onwards. The last date for expressing interest in participating in the e-auction is August 12, 2025, till 5 pm.

The sites are available at locations such as Srirampura Third Stage, Vijayanagar Second, Third and Fourth Stages, Hebbal First and Third Stages, Devanur Third Stage, Kesare Third Stage, Dattagalli and Sathagalli.

The direct bidding for e-auction of sites in serial numbers 1 to 50 will commence on August 16, at 11 am and it will close on August 18, 2025, at 4 pm.

The direct bidding for e-auction of sites 51 to 100 will commence from 11 am on August 19 and close at 4 pm on August 20.

Direct bidding for e-auction of sites 101 to 150 will begin from 11 am on August 21 and close at 4 pm on Aug. 22 and for sites 151 to 200, it will begin at 11 am on August 25 and close on August 26 at 4 pm.

 

How to apply for MUDA sites in Mysore?

In 2022, the Mysore Urban Development Authority issued a notification for the e-auction of 309 premium and platinum sites and houses. The sites were located in Dattagalli Layout, Vijayanagar, Hebbal, Devanur, Sathagalli, Brindavan Extension, Srirampura, Hanchya-Sathagalli, Nachanahalli-Koppalur, K.C. Layout, Handuvinahalli (Nanjangud), Nanjangud’s Basavanahalli Block and Lalitadripura (South).

Here are the steps to participate in an e-auction:

  • Visit the portal https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in/
  • Click on Auction
  •  Select the Mysuru Urban Development Authority & Live Auction. Click on ‘Search’
  • New bidder should register on the site and existing bidder can sign in with their login details.
  • After logging in, select the site you want to bid. Click on ‘Submit interest of participation’
  • You can make payment online or offline. Adhere to the general condition of eligibility. Upload the documents and complete the declaration. Then, click on ‘Submit’
  • Click on Bid
  • Successful bidder must pay 25% of the bid value within 72 hours from the bid closing time excluding EMD and submit challan to finance section.
  • After paying 25% amount and submitting challan, successful bidders will get a mail from MUDA to pay 75% amount within 45 days and submit challan to finance section.
  • Unsuccessful bidders will get EMD amount to their bank account details.

Mysore Urban Development Authority: Group Housing Project

To meet the increasing demand for housing in the city, the MUDA has come up with a Group Housing project. A plot of eight-acre area in Vijaynagar 3rd stage near Hinkal and ring road, the location was recently cleared from long-pending legal disputes.

Under the project, there are two units of G + 10 configuration to accommodate 450 to 500 houses each. The project offers several amenities, broad road and recreational spaces.

 

Mysore Urban Development Authority: City Development Plan 2031

The MUDA is planning to draft the City Development Plan 2031 (CDP 2031), which is a comprehensive master plan for the city. The master plan covers various aspects to fulfil the city’s needs by mapping its growth until 2031. It entails plans for residential layouts, commercial zones, industrial areas, airport, roads and various public infrastructure projects. The CDP 2031 explains the boundaries of the Mysore Local Planning District, a part of the metropolitan region. It entails villages in Mysuru and Nanjangud Taluks in Mysore district and Srirangapatna Taluk in Mandya district. It covers areas such as Thandavapura and Nanjangud Industrial Areas in Nanjangud Taluk. It covers Hebbal, Belavadi, Hootgalli, Koorgalli, Belagola and Metaally Industrial Areas in Mysore Taluk.

Under the master plan for 2031, the authority has planned efforts aimed at preserving heritage sites, boosting economic activities, balanced land use, ensuring a slum-free city and road maintenance and expansion. The authority has planned the development of eco-planning districts with agricultural zones. There are plans for developing metro rail system, establishing satellite townships at Jayapura and Yelwala, airport expansion, and proposal for decentralising commercial district.

Mysore Urban Development Authority departments

Town Planning Department

The Town Planning Department of MUDA undertakes the task pf preparing and revising the Comprehensive Development Plan for Mysore City. It is involved in creating Layout Plans, approval of Development Plans for Layouts and Group Housing Schemes, monitoring the change of land use in the CDP area and supporting the authority in its role as the Planning Authority for Mysore.

Land Acquisition Department

The Land Acquisition Department works closely with the Engineering Department for acquiring lands required for executing various developmental schemes and formation of new layouts.

Allotment & General Administration Department

The Allotment & Administration Department deals with matters related to allotment of sites, shops and houses, assessment of property tax, leases and shop rents. It also oversees establishment and general administrative matters.

Engineering Department

The Engineering Department is responsible for the execution of developmental schemes in the layouts and infrastructural works. It monitors the execution of water supply and underground drainage works in MDA layouts taken up by BWSSB and electrification works executed by CHESCOM and takes up works on self execution.

Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for assisting the MUDA on financial matters and maintaining the accounts of the authority. It also oversees the demand, collection and balance of dues to the authority.

Law Department

The Law Department supports the authority on several legal issues, handles litigations by and against the Authority in various courts, etc.

Public Relations Department

The Public Relations Department receives applications for various purposes from public on acknowledgement and communicates them to other departments for necessary action. It also handles the media issues, including publication of press notes, etc.
