Property taxes levied on a property vary as per the local civic authority such as municipal corporations, municipal councils and panchayats. Property tax is calculated by taking into account several factors such as:

  • Total building plinth area
  • Approved or unapproved building area
  • Rent per square foot/ Monthly Rental Value (MRV)
  • Building type (whether residential or commercial property)
  • Building usage per sq ft
  • Location of the property
  • Age of the property
