The National Highway-3 (NH3) caters to regional connectivity and tourism by connecting Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Leh. The highway is 556 km long and covers diverse landscapes of all three states. As it transverses through these states, it serves the purpose of better transportation, commercial activities, road connectivity, hassle-free travel and tourism. 

NH 3 starts from Atari, India-Pakistan border, and goes through Amritsar, Manali in Himachal Pradesh, terminating at Leh in Ladakh. In 2010, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) renumbered all national highways. Thereafter, parts of the former (NH 1) and (NH 70) merged with the former (NH 21), which is present in NH 3.

When it comes to real estate, National Highway-3 has transformed the connectivity aspect and made it better in even the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh. This connectivity improvement has led to economic growth. NH 3 also brought an increase in aspects like trade, commerce and tourism, which further elevated the demand for properties in these areas.
