If you own a vehicle in Haryana, a unique registration number is assigned to your vehicle based on the RTO, where it is registered. Parivahan Haryana: How to apply for a driving license online?
The Parivahan Sewa Portal, under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), helps citizens to access vehicles and driving license-related services online. Through Parivahan Haryana, one can apply for a driving license, learner’s license, check status, etc.
- Visit the official portal https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/
- Click on the ‘Drivers/ Learners License’ option
- Select the state ‘Haryana’ from the list.
- The main page of the Transport Department, Government of Haryana and the various driving licence-related services will be displayed on the screen.
- Click on the ‘Apply for Driving Licence’ service from the list.
- Read the instructions. Click on ‘Continue’.
- Provide relevant details in the form, including the learner’s licence number and date of birth.
- Upload the documents and click on ‘Submit’.
- In the next step, the payment gateway will be visible. Make the payment using any of the given payment modes.
- A payment receipt and acknowledgement slip will be generated with the application number.
- The applicant will be required to complete the DL test slot booking.
- Go to the RTO on the appointment date, carrying the supporting documents, e-receipt, and acknowledgement slip. The DL will be sent within 30 days of the driving skill test if it is cleared.
How to apply for vehicle registration certificate?
In India, vehicle dealers are authorised to register new vehicles on behalf of the owner. The vehicle is delivered to the purchaser after the completion of the registration process by the dealer. The buyer can also register his/her vehicle with the local RTO. The vehicle registration certificate (RC) is issued, and the vehicle registration number is given after verification of papers and inspection of the vehicle.

How to apply for vehicle ownership transfer in Haryana?
Visit the Haryana Transport Department’s website. You must complete an application form, make the fees payment, provide requisite documents, and submit the file at the relevant counter at RTO. The files will be verified, and if it is rejected, the authority will issue a deficiency slip to the citizen. The slip clarifies why the file was rejected and how it should be redone. The applicant must bring the file and necessary documents and fees to the counter. The registration certificate will be sent by mail.

- Go to DigiLocker official website https://digilocker.gov.in or download the app on your phone.
- New users must sign up on the portal. Now, click on the sign in option.
- Login using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar number.
- Go to the Isssued Documents section. Choose Driving License and Download in PDF.
How to apply for duplicate RC online?
Citizens can apply for an RC online through the official Parivahan Sewa portal.
