The Pawar brothers Uttam Pawar and Chandu Pawar with their family members stay in a house that is present in both the states of Maharashtra and Telangana. This family of thirteen members pay property tax to both the states of Maharashtra and Telangana.

According to ANI agency, the family’s home is located in Maharaja Guda village in Simavarti Jiwati tehsil of Chandrapur district which is located along the Maharashtra Telangana border. The house which has ten rooms, has four rooms and hall in Maharashtra and four rooms and the kitchen in Telangana.
Although the members have to pay property tax for two states, they also get to enjoy beneficiary schemes offered by both the states of Maharashtra and Telangana. “Our house is divided between Maharashtra and Telangana, but till today we have not had any problem with it, we pay property tax Maharashtra and property tax Telangana and take advantage of the schemes of both the states,” said Uttam Pawar.
The house was built on the land that was divided between Maharashtra and Telangana when the border dispute was settled in 1969.
