On March 29, 2022, the new interchange station at Punjabi Bagh West station became operational, connecting the Green and Pink lines of the Delhi Metro. With more than 18,000 people passing through it every day, it is already serving as a vital connection between west Delhi and other areas of the city.

It used to take longer for commuters to go to the other sections of the city since they had to first change from the Green Line to the Blue Line before getting on the Pink Line. They may now go to all of the destinations along the Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar Pink corridor’s 59 kilometres. The only lines in the Delhi Metro to have shown a rise in daily average ridership between May and July of this year over the same pre-pandemic period in 2019 is the Green and Pink lines. A foot overbridge (FOB), which links the platforms to the Punjabi Bagh West Metro station on the Pink Line, connects the platforms. There are 212 metres in the FOB.
