Reach Mumbai to Bangalore in 5 hours with the newly planned green expressway

While currently, it takes close to 17 hours to travel the approximately 981 km distance between the two cities, with the green expressway the travel time will be reduced to five hours

Central government is planning to construct a green expressway between Mumbai and Bangalore that will reduce the travel time between the two cities considerably, mentioned Nitin Gadkari, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister.

While currently, it takes close to 17 hours to travel the approximately 981 km distance between the two cities, with the green expressway the travel time will be reduced to five hours. With this expressway that will be connected to the Mumbai-Pune expressway, the travel time between Pune and Bangalore will also reduce to 3.5 to 4 hours.

Gadkari mentioned that in the next three years, India will have 26 new green expressways that will be constructed world class and will reduce travel time for people between two destinations. One of them is the Chennai Bengaluru expressway that will help commuters travel between the cities in 2 hours as against the current.
