Stamp duty and registration centre to be set up in Mhada office

This facility won’t be available for the winners of lottery that is being announced on August 14, 2023.

A stamp duty and registration office is being set up at the Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) office to make the post lottery process user-friendly. While this facility won’t be available for the Mhada lottery result that is being announced on August 14, 2023, it will be usable for future lotteries.

Last year, the authority revamped the Mhada lottery registration and application system by implementing a new software. This was done to make the entire system transparent and free of any malpractice.

As a second step, now the Mhada is working at making the post lottery process user-friendly by establishing the registration and stamp duty centre at the Mhada office. The authority will provide the e-registration facility to the people. With the setup of the stamp duty and registration centre at the Mhada office, winners of the lottery can effortlessly get the possession of their Mhada house by submitting the required documents, making the payment, paying the registration fees and stamp duty and finally securing the house.

Another advantage of the newly implemented online lottery system is that documents will be verified online in a timely manner (in less than three months). This is possible because it was mandatory to submit all the required documents before applying for the Mhada lottery. Previously, the document verification would take anywhere between one to two years. Also, the Mhada has tied up with several banks from whom the successful lottery winners can get in touch for home loans.

The Mhada will announce results for the 4,082 units of the Mhada lottery 2023 Mumbai on August 14, 2023 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Center auditorium at Nariman Point, Mumbai at 2 PM. The Mhada Mumbai lottery 2023 lucky draw list will be published at 6 PM on the Mhada lottery website. The lucky draw will be held in the presence of chief minister Eknath Shinde, deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar and housing minister Atul Save.
