October 25, 2023: Following the success of its previous residential scheme RPS 07, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) is planning to launch a residential plot scheme in January-February 2024, according to media reports. The new scheme will offer over 2,000 residential plots of different sizes. These plots will be located close to the upcoming Noida International Airport (Jewar airport).
On October 18, 2023, Yeida conducted the draw for the residential plot scheme, offering 1,184 plots. The scheme was launched on August 8, 2023. The plots are located along the Yamuna Expressway in Yeida sectors 16, 17 and 20. The price of these plots ranges from Rs 29.5 lakh to Rs 4.92 crore. As many as 1.4 lakh applicants have applied for the scheme. The plots scheme is expected to generate revenue of around Rs 698 crore for the authority.
Media reports cited an official stating that land acquisition for the plots is yet to take place. The land department of the authority has been instructed to acquire land for residential plots. The land acquisition is likely to be completed by the end of December and land is expected to be available by January 2024. Therefore, the Yamuna authority is expected to launch new residential plots in January 2024, the official said.
