Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s credit-linked subsidy scheme (PMAY CLSS), the government provides monetary assistance on home loans. Borrowers availing of loans between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 12 lakh are offered low interest rates for the construction of new houses or renovation of existing ones. Those who are eligible to receive the government subsidy under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme can track the status of their applications online using the CLSS Awas Portal or CLAP.
What is CLAP or CLSS Awas Portal ?
The CLSS Awas Portal (CLAP), https://pmayuclap.gov.in/, is a platform to help the beneficiaries of the PMAY scheme. Using this portal, applicants can track the application status with their unique ID. With the help of CLAP, PMAY beneficiaries can track various stages through which their applications passes before getting the final approval and the release of interest subsidy.

CLSS Tracker: Stages
From the submission of the application till the release of subsidy, PMAY applications pass through the following 5 stages:
CLSS Tracker: Stage 1
Application ID generation
You will receive an SMS on your mobile, informing you about the generation of application ID, when it is done. It would be an 11-digit alphanumeric ID.
CLSS Tracker: Stage 2
Due diligence by primary lending institutions (PLI)
When this stage appears green on the CLSS Awas Portal, it means your bank is in the process of creating your file that will be sent either to the National Housing Bank (NHB) or Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO).
CLSS Tracker: Stage 3
Claim uploaded on Central Nodal Agency (CNA) portal
At this stage, NHB or HUDCO will be scanning your file.
CLSS Tracker: Stage 4
Subsidy claim approved
At this stage, your application for PMAY Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) is approved.
CLSS Tracker: Stage 5
Subsidy transferred to PLI
At this stage, either NHB or HUDCO would release your subsidy into the bank.
While it is your bank (PLIs) that acts as an intermediary through which you apply for the PMAY subsidy under CLSS and through which you ultimately receive the subsidy in your home loan, you don’t have to visit the bank every time to track the PMAY subsidy application status. CLAP, https://pmayuclap.gov.in/, will show you the exact stage where your application is pending.

Process to get PMAY CLSS subsidy
Once you apply for the CLSS subsidy under PMAY, your bank will send an application to either of the two central nodal agencies – NHB or HUDCO – appointed by the government to oversee the subsidy flow under the PMAY. As mentioned above, your application for subsidy under the CLSS goes through four stages before it is finally released into your account at the fifth stage.
When your application is at the first stage, an application ID is generated for you, by using it, you will be able to track the status of your application on CLAP.
You will receive your CLSS application ID number through an SMS on your registered mobile number.
