Kollywood actor Dhanush recently hosted a housewarming ceremony at his new house in Chennai’s posh neighbourhood, Poes Garden. He has purchased a plot in Poes Garden, near superstar Rajinikanth’s house, for Rs 25 crore to build his dream home for his family. The pictures of the housewarming ceremony, which was conducted on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, was posted on social media by director Subramaniam Shiva.

The land is close to the house of superstar Rajinikanth. With this investment, he has also become one of the Poes garden celebrities. Poes Garden is one of the most posh localities in Chennai and is home to some of the well-known and famous personalities in Chennai, including the late chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa’s home.

In February 2021, the actor performed the bhoomi pujan for the Poes Garden land, which was attended by Superstar Rajinikanth along with his wife Latha, along with Dhanush and ex-wife Aishwarya. According to the actor, he wanted to shift his residence for the sole reason of convenience. The actor earlier resided at Alwarpet. Dhanush and wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth announced their separation on social media on January 17, 2022 after 18 years of marriage. Dhanush married Rajinikanth’s eldest daughter Aishwarya, in 2004. The couple have two sons named Linga and Yatra.

As per media reports, Dhanush will spend Rs 150 crore for his new house in Chennai’s Poes Garden. Dhanush performed bhoomi pujan for his new house in Feb 2021, which was attended by his father-in-law, actor Rajinikanth.
