The first project is the Naidupate-Turpu Kanupur Section of the NH-71, spanning 35 km. Work on this section would require an investment of Rs 1,399 crore. The second project is the Chillakuru Cross-Krishnapatnam Port South Gate Section via Turpu Kanupur on the NH-516W. Covering a distance of 36 km, this project would need Rs 909 crore. The Thamminapatnam-Narikellapalle Section involves an extension of the dedicated port road from Eupuru to the Krishnapatnam Port on the NH-516W and the NH-67, a length of 16 km to be developed at Rs 610 crore.
The minister said these endeavors were aimed to provide seamless and secure connectivity to the Krishnapatnam Port, enabling faster accessibility to the national master plan nodes, industrial nodes and SEZ at Nellore. Additionally, they would enhance the safety and convenience of devotees traveling to religious destinations such as the Shri Balaji Temple in Tirupati and the Shri Shiva Temple in Srikalahasti. Gadkari said those projects would bolster tourism by establishing connections to popular attractions such as the Nelapatu Bird Sanctuary and SHAR at Sriharikota. Those are also expected to generate substantial employment opportunities.
