Haryana launches ‘Tatkal’ services for property deed registration

Property buyers in Haryana can now book appointments for deed registration on the same day, under a ‘tatkal’ scheme

The Haryana government has launched a ‘tatkal’ appointment service, for instant property registration in the state. Now, property owners will be able to take out-of-turn appointments for deed registration at the sub-registrar’s office on the same day and appear with all the requisite documents and witnesses, to proceed with the property registration. However, those opting for the ‘tatkal’ scheme will have to pay a service charge of Rs 25,000.

According to the officials, 10 appointment slots will be reserved for the tatkal service to be booked on the same day. There are 100 appointment slots for regular bookings. The provision for tatkal booking has been enabled on Jamabandi and the appointment booking will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. This newly-launched service will help the property buyers, who want to get the deed registration done on an urgent basis.

The service charge of Rs 25,000 will have to be paid on egrashry.nic.in portal through e-challan. The payment could be made using net banking, debit card, etc. Also, the appointment for ‘tatkal’ services can be booked on the day of registration from 8 AM onwards.
