Prime minister Narendra Modi on February 27, 2023, released the 13th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Eligible farmers have received Rs 2,000 in their bank accounts. Now, the 14th PM Kisan instalment is likely to be released in June 2023. However, those who have not completed their KYC or whose bank accounts are not linked with their Aadhaar numbers will not receive the subsidy. Farmers are required to link their bank accounts with Aadhar to receive the benefit under direct benefit transfer schemes, such as the PM Kisan.

How to link Aadhaar with PM Kisan scheme offline?
Step 1: Visit the bank branch where you receive the PM Kisan amount.
Step 2: Request the teller to provide you with Aadhaar seeding form. Here is the sample of Aadhar seeding form of public lender Bank of Baroda.
Step 3: Fill the form carefully, provide all details including your Aadhaar number.
Step 4: Attach a copy of the self-attested Aadhaar with the form.
Step 5: Submit it with the bank official.
Step 6: Your Aadhaar will be seeded with your bank account within 48 hours.
How to link Aadhaar with PM Kisan scheme through net banking?
Step 1: Log in your net banking account.
Step 2: Click on the ‘View/update Aadhaar card details’ option.
Step 3: Enter the Aadhaar number in the box specified for the purpose with other information required for verification.
Step 4: Self-verify the entered information and confirm it by clicking on ‘Submit’.
Step 5: Your Aadhaar will be seeded with your bank account in 48 hours after verification.
Note
Aadhaar Failure Record facility on the PM Kisan portal helps farmers correct their names in records as per Aadhaar. This does not help them link their Aadhaar with PM Kisan scheme.

Over 2.14 cr farmers yet to complete PM Kisan KYC: Govt
As many as 2,14,75,001 farmers have not yet completed their know-your customer (KYC) under the PM Kisan Yojana, Union minister of agriculture and farmers welfare Narendra Singh Tomar told the Rajya Sabha on July 21 in a written reply. Official data released by the ministry show the highest number of pending PM Kisan KYC is from Uttar Pradesh, at 56,91,331. Following UP in tally are Rajasthan and Maharashtra with 19,42,417 and 18,02,436 pending PM Kisan KYCs, respectively.

Govt launches PM Kisan mobile app with face-authentication feature
June 22, 2023: Agriculture and farmers’ welfare minister Narendra Singh Tomar on June 22, 2023, launched the PM Kisan mobile app with face-authentication feature. The new feature will enable farmers eligible to get financial support under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi complete e-KYC by scanning face, the ministry said in a statement.
Ensure 100% disposal of PM Kisan applications: UP chief secretary
June 2, 2023: Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra on June 1 told the district magistrates to ensure 100% disposal of applications to saturate all eligible beneficiaries with the PM Kisan scheme. He also directed the officials to take strict action against the lax staff. The Uttar Pradesh government is running a two-week drive to help farmers comply with pre-requisites to receive the PM Kisan subsidy ahead of the release of the 14th instalment.

UP launches drive to help PM Kisan beneficiaries link Aadhaar, bank account
May 24, 2023: The Uttar Pradesh government is starting a two-week drive in which it will help farmers comply with pre-requisites to receive the PM Kisan subsidy. “The objective is to verify the beneficiaries’ land records, complete their e-KYC and seeding of their bank accounts during the drive so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of the benefit of the scheme for lack of incomplete details,” said UP agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi.
