April 10, 2024: The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) has denied granting extension of registration validity for a Godrej Developers & Properties housing project Godrej Air Phase 4 at Sector 85, Gurugram on the basis of non-compliance, mention media reports.
Reports suggest that according to HRERA, Godrej Developers & Properties LLP did not rectify the mistakes captured in the RERA application that indicated mismatch between details mentioned in the project’s quarterly progress report (QPR) and details mentioned in the CA certificate. Also, there were errors in details related to license renewal and bank balance.
The project was given RERA registration in December 2018 which was valid till June 2023. An extension under Section 6 of the RERA Act was sought by the developer.
While verifying details before giving the extension, the HRERA found out the several errors that were asked to be rectified. As per media reports, HRERA sent a final show-cause notice in February 2024 for which also no reply was given by the promoter. According to media reports even after repeated reminders from the authority, the developer didn’t comply with the RERA Act.
According to media reports, the HRERA order said that on the basis of the above facts, the HRERA rejected the application for extension of registration of the project. Further, the bank account of the project will be frozen and a compliance letter regarding that will be sent to the bank.
