The Mumbai board of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced MHADA lottery 2023 for 4,000 units. The Mumbai board has announced the MHADA lottery 2023 after a gap of 5 years, owing to shortage in housing stock. The last MHADA Mumbai board lottery was held in 2018.
Under the MHADA Mumbai lottery 2023, out of the 4,000 units that are offered, 2, 683 units will be from the Pahadi-Goregaon project where construction work is going on in full swing. MHADA’s Goregaon-Pahadi housing project is spread in two plots namely Plot A and Plot B.
The remaining 1,317 units are spread across Bandra, Borivali, Kanamwar Nagar and Magathane. Cost of the units available under MHADA lottery 2023 for the EWS segment is around 35 lakh, around 40-45 lakh for the LIG segment. Houses whose OC has been received only will be part of the MHADA Mumbai lottery 2023 as officials want to give homebuyers the house keys immediately once the payment is done.
All the 4 income categories namely Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group can participate in the MHADA Mumbai lottery 2023. However, more than 60% of the MHADA homes will be catering to the EWS and LIG segment and the remaining will be for the MIG and HIG.
MHADA also has announced that going forward, all MHADA projects will include amenities like swimming pool, club house, gym etc. in units announced for the MIG and the HIG group. Presently, under construction, the first such MHADA building will be offered in MHADA lottery 2025.
