August 17, 2023: The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has introduced a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment feature for buying tickets on counters across all the stations. The facility will provide on Aqua Line passengers the ease of ticket purchasing, and they will no longer have to look for change to buy tickets. NMRC managing director Lokesh M launched the UPI payment facility at Sector 51 Station.
However, passengers will continue to have the option to use cash, debit card or credit card to pay for their metro tickets on the Aqua Line.
Aqua Line passengers can either buy a one-time QR-coded paper ticket or use smart cards for travelling. The Delhi Metro smart cards are not valid in the Noida Metro. QR-coded paper tickets are available at vending machines installed at the stations. Fares in the Noida Metro range between Rs 10 and Rs 50, depending on the distance covered and specific day.
