PM Modi to inaugurate the Light House Project at Indore on October 5

The Light House Project is expected to benefit more than 1,000 beneficiary families.

October 5, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today will inaugurate the Light House Project at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The project will be built at a cost of Rs 128 crore, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U). It is expected to benefit more than 1,000 beneficiary families.

The Light House Project employs the Prefabricated Sandwich Panel System with Pre-engineered Steel Structural System to build quality homes with all basic facilities.  With this technology, the construction time will be reduced considerably.

As part of his visit to Indore, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for multiple road infrastructure projects in MP with an estimated cost of over Rs 4,800 crore. These will include:

  • Upgradation of the road connecting Jharkheda- Berasia – Dholkhedi of NH-346
  • Four-laning of the Balaghat – Gondia Section of NH-543
  • Four-laning of the Khandwa Bypass connecting Rudhi and Deshgaon;
  • Four-laning of the Temagaon to Chicholi section of NH-47
  • Four-laning of the road connecting Boregaon to Shahpur
  • Four-laning of the road connecting Shahpur to Muktainagar
  • Upgradation of the road connecting Khalghat to Sarwardewla of NH-347C.

Modi will also dedicate rail projects worth more than Rs 1,850 crore to the nation. These projects include:

  • Doubling the rail line connecting Katni – Vijaysota (102 km) and Marwasgram – Singrauli (78.5 km). Both these projects are part of the project for doubling the rail line connecting Katni – Singrauli Section.

The other projects include the 352 km Vijaipur- Auraiya- Phulpur Pipeline Project to be built at more than Rs 1,750 crore and the Nagpur Jabalpur section (317 km) of the Mumbai Nagpur Jharsuguda Pipeline Project. The project will be built at a cost of more than Rs 1,100 crore.

Modi will also be performing bhoomi poojan of  Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan. To be built at a cost of about Rs 100 crore in Jabalpur, the Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan will be spread across 21 acre.
