The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TS-RERA) has issued notices to around 14 developers in Hyderabad on November 15, 2023, for violating directives under the Rera Act.
Media reports mention that these developers went ahead with the marketing and advertisements activities of their project without securing the mandatory Rera registration number that is unique for each project. Developers slapped with notices include the Seven Hills, Prestige Group Projects, Sumadhura Infra Projects, Neemsboro Group, Excellence Properties, Urban Yards Projects, Happy Dream Homes, Rivendell Farms and Kavuri Hills, among others.
Additionally, show cause notices were sent to JB’s Nature Valley and JB Infra Projects as they failed to mention Rera registration number in their advertisements and other marketing promotional activities.
All those who have been sent notices have been given a time period of 15 days to revert with responses.
Note that gearing with the marketing and promotional activities without securing the Rera registration number goes against the Rera Act. Developers will be heavily penalised and also will face a risk of project cancellation in this case.
Also, not displaying Rera registration number clearly in all promotional materials is a violation of the Rera Act.
