August 21, 2023: The Bank of Baroda (BoB) has withdrawn the auction notice issued to actor Sunny Deol for recovering Rs 56 crore dues for Sunny Villa located at Gandhigram Road, Juhu. Citing technical issues, BoB issued a corrigendum on August 21, 2023. Sunny Villa, located at Gandhigram Road Juhu, is spread over 599.44 sqm.
The initial notice
BoB on August 19, 2023 had issued an auction notice according to which the Gadar-2 actor had failed to repay Rs 56 crore loan from BoB, plus interest and cost from December 26, 2022 (less recovery upto date). Thus, the bungalow – Sunny Villa, was set to be auctioned on September 25, 2023 with a base reserve price of Rs 51.43 crore. The corporate guarantor for the BoB loan was Sunny Sounds, a company owned by the Deols. The actor’s father, Dharmendra and Vijay Singh Dharmendra Deol were the personal guarantors.
