Under Delhi Metro Phase-IV, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation plans to further intensify the connectivity net in the south part of the national capital with the launch of the Brown Line. The Delhi Metro Brown Line will act as a connectivity hub for existing metro lines in South Delhi, joining the three metro lines, Pink Line, Magenta Line and Violet Line. The less-than-8-km line (it is proposed to run a 7.96-km distance) will begin from Lajpat Nagar and end at Saket G Block, running through a total of eight metro stations.

Under Delhi Metro Phase-IV, the DMRC is currently working on three priority corridors: Aerocity-Tughlakabad, RK Ashram to Janakpuri West and Mukundpur to Maujpur.
