UAN activation

For EPFO UAN login, you should first activate your UAN by visiting the website https://unifiedportal.epfindia.gov.in.

What happens to PF money after a subscriber retires?

While a member is free to keep his pension amount in the PF account, the account will not accrue any interest after three months of not receiving any contributions.

When can I withdraw my PF money after resigning from a company?

You can withdraw money from your PF account after two months of resigning from your employment.

How do I submit the application for PF withdrawal? What if my company is not attesting the PF claim form?

The employer is mandated to attest the PF withdrawal application form after you have resigned. In case of any dispute, you may obtain attestation from the bank in which the company has maintained the account and submit it to the regional PF commissioner. You have to explain the reasons for not obtaining the signature of the employer. The regional PF commissioner will pursue the matter with the employer wherever necessary. If the member has activated his Universal Account Number, bank account and Aadhaar, he can submit a composite claim which only requires the signature of the member.

Does delay in interest update in EPF passbook result in money loss?

Updating the member passbook with interest is an entry process, says the EPFO. “The date on which the interest is entered in the passbook of the member has no actual financial bearing as the interest earned for the year on his monthly running balances is always added to the closing balance of that year and it becomes the opening balance for the next year,” it said in a tweet in May, 2023.
